Lunaria: Cycle Tracking ("Lunaria", "we", "our", or "us") provides cycle, pregnancy, perimenopause, wellness, and optional faith-based features through the Lunaria mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it is stored, and what choices you have.
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that is needed to operate the App, personalize features you choose to use, maintain security, and support Premium purchases.
1.1 Profile and App Session Information
Lunaria currently does not require a traditional email-and-password account to use the App. Instead, the App creates an anonymous app session and may collect or generate:
- Anonymous app session and device-linked install identifiers
- Display name, if you choose to enter one
- Language and time zone settings
- App preferences and feature settings
1.2 Health and Wellness Information You Choose to Enter
If you use Lunaria’s tracking features, you may choose to enter sensitive personal and health-related information such as:
- Menstrual cycle dates, phase data, flow, and related logs
- Pregnancy dates, symptoms, weekly tracking details, and appointment information
- Perimenopause tracking details and symptom history
- Symptoms, mood, sleep, energy, exercise, libido, cravings, and notes
- Food, fitness, health, and wellness planner entries
- Optional faith check-ins, journal content, prayer intentions, and related reflections if you use faith features
1.3 Premium Purchase Information
If you purchase Lunaria Premium, the transaction is processed by Apple or Google. We may receive limited purchase-related information needed to unlock or restore Premium access, such as the product identifier, purchase state, and restore status. We do not receive your full payment card details.
1.4 Notifications and Device Information
If you enable notifications, we store your reminder preferences, such as whether reminders are enabled and the reminder time you choose. We may also process limited technical information needed for app operation, such as app version and platform type.
1.5 AI Feature Inputs
When you use AI-assisted features, we may process a limited subset of your app data to generate content such as insights, summaries, prayer support, or planner guidance. Depending on the feature, this may include selected health logs, symptom patterns, pregnancy or perimenopause context, faith inputs you choose to provide, language, and selected in-app module context.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide cycle, pregnancy, perimenopause, and wellness tracking features
- Generate personalized insights, summaries, and optional faith-based content
- Save your settings, preferences, and reminder choices
- Support, unlock, and restore Premium features
- Maintain app security, prevent misuse, and support anonymous authentication
- Operate, troubleshoot, and improve the App
3. Where Data Is Stored
3.1 On Your Device
Some information is stored locally on your device to make the App work smoothly, including certain preferences, reminders, locally cached content, and some feature state. Some security-sensitive items, such as the anonymous app session install token, are stored using secure platform storage.
3.2 On Our Servers
Some information you enter or generate in the App may be stored on our backend systems, including app profile information and logged health-related entries used to provide cross-session app functionality.
3.3 AI Processing
When you use AI-assisted features, relevant request data is sent through our backend and may be processed by third-party AI infrastructure in order to generate the requested response. We do not permit use of your health data for advertising.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information or health-related data.
We may share limited information with service providers only as needed to operate the App, such as:
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers
- AI processing providers used for AI-assisted features
- Apple App Store and Google Play services for purchases, restore flows, and platform operations
We may also disclose information if required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, or to protect the security and integrity of the App.
5. Notifications
If you enable notifications, Lunaria may schedule local reminders on your device. Notification content is based on your app settings and logged app context. You can turn notifications off at any time in the App or in your device settings.
6. Data Retention
We keep data for as long as reasonably necessary to operate Lunaria, support the features you use, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Locally stored information may remain on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the App, except for secure keychain or secure-storage items that may persist depending on platform behavior.
7. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of certain personal information. You may also disable optional features such as notifications, faith mode, pregnancy mode, or Premium purchases at any time. To request deletion of server-side data or ask a privacy question, contact us using the information below.
8. Children’s Privacy
Lunaria is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will review and remove the information as appropriate.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information processed through Lunaria. This includes encrypted transmission where applicable, access controls, and secure storage practices for certain sensitive app credentials. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International Processing
Your information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live, including where our hosting or service providers operate. When we do so, we take reasonable steps to require appropriate protections for the information we process.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date on this page. Your continued use of Lunaria after an update means the updated Privacy Policy applies.
